The Russian submarine will strike for the first time using the Zircon hypersonic missiles.

Sources in the country's military-industrial complex have reported on the planned launches of the Zircon missiles by the Russian nuclear submarine Severodvinsk. These will be the first missile launches using Zircon hypersonic missiles from a submarine, and the first hypersonic missile launches in 2021.

Experts draw attention to the fact that test launches of Zircon hypersonic missiles from the Severodvinsk nuclear submarine will be far from the only ones - several more test tests of Russian hypersonic weapons are planned by the end of this year, after which the Zircon missiles will be accepted for service with the Russian fleet.

According to the data at the disposal of the news agency Avia.pro, the Zircon missiles exist in two versions - designed to destroy sea and ground targets, and the range of the latter can be up to 1500 kilometers.
