After the loss of Soledar, the Armed Forces of Ukraine completely lost the initiative in the Seversk direction.

The army went on a large-scale attack in the Seversk direction. This became possible after the successful capture of Soledar and, judging by the pace of advancement of Russian units, the Russian army will be able to approach Seversk within the next 1-2 weeks.

According to Ukrainian sources, after taking control of Soledar, Russian troops began to intensively move towards Seversk. At the moment, Russian troops are conducting a powerful assault on the settlements of Mikhailovka, Vasyukovka, as well as Sacco and Vanzetti. Considering the absence of large forces of the Ukrainian army here, it is possible to advance in this direction very actively.

If the front is leveled in this direction, the Russian army may have a unique opportunity to conduct an offensive on a broad front, which in turn will quickly shift the positions of Ukrainian troops to the west, including reaching the border of Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions.

Analysts note that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost all initiative on the territory of the Donetsk region at the moment and are forced to retreat, even despite the presence of a large number of weapons in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
