Russian Air Force Destroys Bridges West of Kurakhovo

As part of the ongoing special military operation in Donbas, Russian aviation has launched an operation to destroy bridges west of the city of Kurakhovo, which may indicate the beginning of a new phase of the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces). These actions are aimed at isolating the combat area, limiting the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to maneuver and supply.

According to data obtained from open sources, the "East" group has already begun an offensive from the south, while the "Center" group, having successfully captured Kurakhovo, has temporarily slowed down its advance. This is due to the need to wait until the air bombs (FABs) complete their task of destroying key communications, which should significantly complicate the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this area.

A video circulated online shows the Russian VKS (Aerospace Forces) using three FAB-500 to destroy a reinforced concrete bridge located between the villages of Ulakly, Konstantinopol, Andreyevka and Razliv. The bridge played an important role for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, especially after Ukrainian units were pushed out of Kurakhovo and forced to retreat to these settlements.

The destruction of bridges is a strategic measure aimed at preventing Ukrainian troops from moving reinforcements, ammunition and equipment, thereby creating a so-called "cauldron" in which the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be limited in resources and maneuverability. This tactical decision highlights the importance of control over logistics routes in modern warfare, where each side seeks to isolate the other.
