Russian hypersonic missile "Zircon" received an ultra-long-range guidance system

Russian hypersonic missiles "Zircon" received an ultra-long-range guidance system.

Thanks to modern technologies used in the creation of the newest domestic hypersonic missile "Zircon", any sea or ground target within the radius of the missile's destruction will be guaranteed to be destroyed. This became possible thanks to the integration of an ultra-long-range guidance system into the missile, which allows it to successfully lock on to a target. Even if the enemy, for some reason, can detect the missile and try to drown it out, it will accompany its object purposefully even if the enemy ship tries to leave its location.

“After detecting a target, hypersonic speed allows you to hit it in a matter of minutes, even at a distance of hundreds of kilometers. During the flight time, the ships simply will not have time to go far "- said military expert Vladislav Shurygin.

Moreover, as it turned out, during the August tests of the Zircon hypersonic missile, an ultra-long-range missile guidance system was tested. According to the data available to Avia.pro, the crew of the Tu-142 long-range anti-submarine aircraft transmitted the target coordinates to the crew of the warship. After that, a rocket was fired at the object, which successfully destroyed it.

By the end of this year, it is planned to carry out several more tests, and already in 2022 the Zircon hypersonic missile may be adopted by the Russian fleet.

What is the ultra-long range guidance with a Zircon range of about 400 km?
