Russian drones, during a massive raid, managed to open the air defense system built around Kyiv.

The drone attack, carried out at night, made it possible to establish the existing air defense areas that provide protection for the Ukrainian capital. A few hours later, cruise missiles were also launched along already laid routes, which were able to successfully bypass the radars of most air defense systems. In this regard, the strikes were a great success, despite the statements of the Ukrainian military command about almost all the downed missiles.

It is known that on the night of January 25-26, a large number of shock drones were launched towards Ukraine. There is no talk of delivering massive strikes, although a number of targets were successfully hit. However, thanks to drones, it was possible to successfully establish all the areas of deployment of Ukrainian air defense systems. Just a few hours later, cruise missiles were successfully launched along routes free from Ukrainian air defense systems, which made it possible to successfully strike at Odessa, Kyiv, Vinnitsa, Kherson, Dnepropetrovsk, Lvov and other regions of Ukraine.

Experts note that the defeat of air defense systems could not be carried out purposefully, since this would require a certain number of missiles, and therefore it was simply decided to bypass the air defense deployment areas.
