Russian Zadira lasers are used in a military special operation in Ukraine.

The latest Russian combat laser systems "Zadira" were used for the first time as part of the ongoing military special operation in Ukraine. It is not known for what specific purposes combat lasers are used, however, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov confirmed the information in this regard.

According to Yuri Borisov, we are talking about a new generation of combat laser systems that are capable of hitting targets at distances up to 5 kilometers. The latter are used in a special operation in Ukraine, apparently providing cover from Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles produced by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Yes, the first samples are already in use”, - said Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov, answering the question of whether these weapons are used in the framework of the NMD.

At the moment, it remains unknown whether any targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shot down by the latest Russian laser systems, however, experts note that, in all likelihood, Zadira laser systems provide cover for Russian airspace. This is especially true against the backdrop of UAF attacks on the Kursk and Belgorod regions.

It should be noted that there are no official statements from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on the use of Zadira laser combat systems.
