Russian paratroopers broke through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Chasov Yar

On May 24, Russian paratroopers successfully broke through the first line of defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) on the approaches to Chasov Yar, which led to significant changes on the front line. After reaching the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal, Ukrainian forces began to urgently respond to any enemy movement, placing significant mechanized forces along the canal, including several dozen armored vehicles and tanks.

However, despite the efforts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the situation quickly got out of control. Forces scattered along the watershed have come under intense attack using drones and artillery. As a result of these attacks, the first line of defense of Ukrainian troops temporarily collapsed, which allowed Russian paratroopers to carry out a series of counterattacks.

During these counterattacks, it was possible to expand the zone of control in the area of the Novy microdistrict and shift the front line to the west in the north of Chasov Yar. According to information from sources, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and other enemy equipment were destroyed by the Burevestnik unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) detachment of the volunteer corps.

The paratroopers continued the offensive, using the advantage created by weakening the first line of defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This made it possible to consolidate positions and expand the controlled territory. It is important to note that the use of drones and artillery played a key role in the successful implementation of tactical missions, ensuring accurate strikes on targets and minimizing casualties among personnel.
