In Odessa, Russian missile forces carried out a pinpoint strike on the Palau-flagged Optima cargo ship, which became the target of the attack after intelligence recorded the unloading of ammunition. According to sources, the missile strike was carried out using the Iskander complex. As a result of the attack, ammunition began to detonate in the port of Odessa, which provoked a series of secondary explosions.
Information about the secondary detonation confirms the fact of serious damage to the cargo intended for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The bulk carrier Optima was the second such target in recent times. Russian forces have previously attacked transport ships delivering weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, underscoring Russia's increased control over maritime supplies to Ukrainian ports.
