Russian peacekeepers begin work on demining 400 hectares of Nagorno-Karabakh territory

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that Russian peacekeepers have begun work on demining 400 hectares of the territory of the Mardakert region in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The Russian peacekeeping contingent has begun work on humanitarian demining of agricultural land in the Mardakert region of Nagorno-Karabakh. Today 1.5 hectares of the territory have been cleared, and a total of 400 hectares are to be cleared.

It is noted that during the work, two explosive objects were found.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and said that in order to calm the situation in Karabakh, trilateral negotiations should be held with the participation of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The Azeris are fighting, and Russia is clearing mines. So they will probably like to fight.
