Russian air defense systems helped Syria repel a large-scale attack on Damascus

Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties in the Syrian Arab Republic, said that Russian Pantsir and Buki air defense systems helped repel the Israeli Air Force's bombing of Damascus. TASS reports this.

According to Kulit, Israeli aircraft carried out strikes on the Syrian capital on Saturday night. He emphasized that most of the fired aerial bombs were destroyed with the help of Russian air defenses, thanks to which it was possible to avoid casualties and injuries among civilians.

In addition, Kulit noted that three cases of violation of deconfliction protocols were recorded by the US-led coalition, as well as three cases of violation of Syrian air borders.
