Russian servicemen in Karabakh were attacked.

A group of unidentified servicemen of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces attacked Russian peacekeepers deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, a Russian serviceman was wounded as a result of open fire.

As the news agency found out, Russian servicemen who were on a peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh were attacked by Azerbaijani servicemen, as a result of which one of the Russian peacekeepers was injured, however, a further escalation of the situation was prevented.

To date, this is the first attack on the Russian military in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“Over the past day, one violation of the ceasefire regime was recorded in the area of ​​​​the settlement of Furukh by the armed forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as a result of which one serviceman of the armed formations of Nagorno-Karabakh was injured. The command of the peacekeeping contingent, in cooperation with representatives of both sides, the incident was resolved ", - said in the message of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

How critical the wounding of a Russian soldier is is not officially specified, however, such actions on the part of Azerbaijan are a gross violation, while no official statements have been made in Baku in this regard.
