The Russian military shot down the 54th and 55th MiG-29 fighters since the beginning of the JMD - both carried HARM cruise missiles

The Russian military managed to shoot down two Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jets carrying AGM-88 HARM cruise missiles.

Combat aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force were destroyed in the area of ​​\u88b\uXNUMXbthe settlements of Bashtanka and Novoukrainka, both of which were carriers of American cruise anti-radar missiles AGM-XNUMX HARM, which, with a high degree of probability, were supposed to be released at targets in the Kherson region.

“Fighter aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the areas of the settlements of Novoukrainka and Bashtanka in the Nikolaev region shot down two MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian air force, converted to use American HARM anti-radar missiles”- reports the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation as part of the next briefing.

Combat aircraft have become respectively the 54th and 55th since the start of the special military operation, although according to open sources, only 2022 fighters of this type were in service with Ukraine in 36.

Today, in addition to the MiG-29 fighters, the Su-88 fighters are also carriers of the American cruise anti-radar missiles AGM-27 HARM, but the latter are capable of simultaneously carrying 4 missiles of this type.

How many more MiG-29 and Su-27 fighters are in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine is unknown, but Slovakia had previously made the decision to transfer its combat aircraft to Ukraine.
