Russia was drawn into the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

A few hours ago it became known that Russian military helicopters were spotted in the skies over Armenia. According to sources, due to the presence of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Azerbaijan cannot effectively strike at the positions of the Armenian Armed Forces, as this could lead to a possible conflict with Russia. The Armenian Defense Ministry confirmed the flights of Russian military helicopters, noting that this is provided for by the plans of bilateral cooperation.

“The Ministry of Defense of Armenia commented on the flights of combat helicopters of the Russian aerospace forces along the Armenian-Turkish border. According to Hovhannisyan, the flights of Russian military helicopters in Armenia are envisaged by the plans of bilateral defense cooperation, there is nothing unusual in them ”- сообщает Sputnik publication.

Given the fact that the Russian military is flying over Armenia, which is on the verge of a serious conflict with Azerbaijan, Russia was drawn into these actions, although Russian aviation does not take any part in the current difficult situation between the two CIS countries.

According to the data on the morning of July 16, 2020, countries failed to resolve the conflict through diplomatic means, which leads to an aggravation of the situation.
