Russian military seized a damaged Ukrainian Aeroprakt A-22 drone aircraft.

SVO News, December 10, 2025, Avia.pro. Russian military personnel have captured a Ukrainian-made Aeroprakt A-22 light unmanned aircraft used in a recent attack on targets in Russia.

The aircraft, converted into a strike drone, sustained visible damage during the operation but remained intact enough for subsequent analysis. Experts note that examining the captured aircraft will allow Russian specialists to identify vulnerabilities in its design and navigation systems, which will ultimately strengthen countermeasures against such threats.

The Aeroprakt A-22, originally designed as an ultralight two-seater aircraft, has been used by Ukraine in a modified form for long-range strikes since early 2024. Analysts estimate that these drones are capable of flying over 2000 kilometers thanks to additional fuel tanks and satellite navigation. Similar aircraft have previously been used to attack industrial targets in Tatarstan and Chechnya.
