Today, Russian army units liberated several settlements in the Kursk region, including the village of Pokrovsky, the village of Darino and the village of Tolsty Lug. This was reported by military correspondent Roman Saponkov. According to him, the successful actions of Russian forces in these sections of the front allowed them to advance deeper into territories previously under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
However, as Saponkov notes, despite the successes achieved, fierce battles continue in the area of the settlement of Lyubimovka. The enemy is putting up fierce resistance, trying to prevent the encirclement and capture of this strategically important settlement. Lyubimovka is a key link in the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this direction and its loss will force the Ukrainian troops to rebuild the line of defense, retreating to the Sudzhan agglomeration.
In addition, Saponkov noted that the situation in the Snagosti area remains unstable. At the moment, it is more of a neutral zone, where neither side fully controls the territory. In this regard, one can expect continued military actions in this area to finally establish control over it.
