Less than a day ago, a tragedy almost happened with the participation of the Russian military transport aircraft An-124, on board which there were about 85 tons of cargo. According to reports, a bird got into the aircraft engine during the flight, resulting in the failure of at least one power plant. However, as it approached, the giant cargo plane began to scatter engine parts directly onto people on the ground.

In the presented photographs you can see that part of the turbine of the jet engine not only broke through the roof of the hangar, but also bent a large cross-section beam, which indicates a high impact force. By a happy coincidence, none of those in the hangar was injured, however, under a different set of circumstances, tragic consequences would have inevitably come.

At the moment, a lot of questions arise as to why, due to the usual hit in the aircraft engine, a bird literally tore it apart, although the safety margin of the engine elements is designed for much higher loads.

Experts assess the rescue of the aircraft as a real miracle, especially since the military transport aircraft was very heavily loaded (the nature of the cargo was not disclosed - ed.).
