The Russian aircraft-carrying cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov was put into dry dock.

The General Director of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), Alexei Rakhmanov, announced that the Russian heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov, with a delay of a week, was nevertheless put into dry dock for repairs. Initially, the cruiser was supposed to undergo dock repairs on May 14-15, however, due to adverse weather conditions, the dates were shifted by a week.

"Docking operation" Kuznetsov "completed successfully", - said Alexei Rakhmanov, General Director of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).

The dock repair is planned to be completed by the end of 2022, provided that the work is carried out in accordance with the approved schedule, however, the Russian warship itself will be able to return to service only at the end of 2023.

The Russian heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser "Admiral Kuznetsov" took part in the military operation in Syria, however, after that it was forced to undergo repairs, which lasts until the present, due to a number of emergencies that occurred with the aircraft carrier. In particular, earlier it became known about the fall of a crane on the deck of the cruiser and the occurrence of a fire on board.
