In fact, we are talking about a rather unusual complex of electronic suppression, the range of which is narrowed solely to repel air attacks. According to experts, by deploying these complexes in certain regions, it will be possible to forget about the use of anti-aircraft defense, since powerful radio-electronic radiation will produce a remote detonation of artillery shells and rockets. Nevertheless, combining the action of the complex with the air defense system, the probability of repelling large-scale missile strikes increases to 99%.

The effective range of these complexes was not officially disclosed, however, according to experts, due to the narrow range of radio-electronic radiation, the range of action of combat vehicles "Mercury-BM" can reach 500-700 meters.

Earlier, the Mercury-BM complexes have already been tested, and quite effectively, which in turn indicates a significant technological breakthrough in Russia in this area.

3. The system will definitely not work against purely mechanical fuses.

And the rest - the idea is really interesting. If at least 50% of the shells fired by the enemy are removed even in flight, their own losses, theoretically, can be reduced by 2 times.

Well, the "preliminary platoon" of the overwhelming majority of fuses - occurs after the cessation of the overload acting on the projectile in the barrel channel (specifically for the "barrel" artillery).
