The Night Hunter's strike with a secret missile was shown on video.

The Zvezda TV channel has published a video of the first use of the newest missile for the Mi-28NM "Night Hunter" helicopter. The footage showing the rocket is partially blurred. The reason is that the characteristics of the ammunition and even its appearance are classified.

The ammunition in question is a lightweight multipurpose guided missile. According to Vitaly Shcherbina, general designer of the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant, this is the first such helicopter rocket in Russia. Shcherbina specified that the missile's homing head provides the use of both ground and surface and underwater targets.

Flight range, and, therefore, the range of the missile is not called, but it is emphasized that it can hit the target "outside the zone of action of any military air defense." Due to this, the pilots are removed from the danger zone. Shcherbina emphasized that "this was a long time coming, but this is a breakthrough, really."
