Russian government plane secretly visits Washington

A Russian aircraft of the special flight squadron "Russia" made a flight to the US capital, Washington. According to the flight tracking service Flightradar24, the Il-96-300PU aircraft with the tail number RA-96019 took off from Moscow and landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, after which it headed to Washington.

The special flight squadron "Russia" is responsible for transporting the highest officials of the Russian Federation, including the president and prime minister. However, there have been no official statements about the visit of Russian officials to the United States, which gives rise to speculation about possible closed negotiations between Moscow and Washington.

Experts note that such visits could be linked to discussions of key issues in bilateral relations, including security, arms control, and regional conflicts. In the context of current geopolitical tensions, such meetings could help reduce risks and find compromise solutions.

A similar aircraft had previously visited the US in June 2024, which also sparked speculation about possible high-level talks. However, no official information was provided about the purpose of these visits.

The head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin announced the lifting of the curfew for the period from December 31, 2024 to January 7, 2025. This decision is timed to coincide with the New Year and Christmas holidays so that residents of the republic can spend more time with their families and loved ones.

The curfew in the DPR has been in effect since 2014 and usually restricts the movement of citizens at night. In previous years, the republic's authorities have already suspended it for the holidays, which allowed them to assess the possibility of further easing or completely lifting the restrictions.

In the wake of these two events, speculation has emerged that an important decision could be announced as early as tomorrow, including the conclusion of a ceasefire.
