The Russian senator urged not to attribute the terror in Dagestan to NATO and the Ukrainian special services

In Derbent, Republic of Dagestan, armed attacks occurred on a church and synagogue building, as a result of which the synagogue caught fire. The police quickly engaged in a shootout with the terrorists, during which at least six attackers were killed.

Russian senator Dmitry Rogozin sharply criticized, saying that attributing every terrorist attack to the machinations of the intelligence services of Ukraine and NATO countries is a path to a “pink fog” that can lead to big problems. In response to a statement by State Duma deputy from Dagestan Gadzhiev, who blamed the terrorist attack on external forces, Rogozin noted that it is worth paying attention to the internal problems of national and religious intolerance, hatred and Russophobia.

“State Duma deputy from Dagestan Gadzhiev believes that the intelligence services of Ukraine and NATO countries are behind the terrorist attack in the republic. And I believe that if we attribute every terrorist attack involving national and religious intolerance, hatred and Russophobia to the machinations of Ukraine and NATO, then This pink fog will lead us to big problems. We see a speck in someone else’s eye, but we can’t see a log in our own.”, wrote Rogozin.

Local authorities and law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the incident, trying to find out the motives and organizers of the attack. According to preliminary data, the attack could be related to the extremist views of the attackers, but the official motives will be revealed in the near future.
