Russian military patrol comes under fire in northern Syria

The Russian military came under fire from two Syrian military groups.

Several hours ago, in the area of ​​the Syrian city of Qamishli, located in the northern part of Syria, where the Russian military airbase is located, a serious exchange of fire broke out between the Kurdish forces and the National Defense Forces. The Russian military tried to intervene, but came under crossfire from both Kurdish formations and the National Defense Forces.

In the video footage presented, you can see the confrontation between two Syrian illegal armed groups, while, judging by the video footage presented, it can be noted that none of the parties were able to gain control over the area.

It is known that fire was also opened on the convoy of the Russian military, however, the victims were avoided, and later, with the mediation of the Russian troops, it was possible to stop the exchange of fire between the two sides.

According to information available to the news agency, the exchange of fire between the two groups began after one of the Kurdish soldiers, under current circumstances, was shot dead at a checkpoint.

It is known that at least two civilians were injured as a result of the shootout, however, both the Kurds and the National Defense Forces have losses.
