In the Kursk region, intense fighting continues, and at the moment, one of the key threats is the mass attacks of unmanned aerial vehicles (FPV drones) from Ukraine. According to local fighters, including Alexey, a Cossack and sociologist who took part in the fighting, over 500 Ukrainian drones were spotted in the sky over an area covering just 180 square meters in a short period of time. He cites this information in his interview.
Alexey, who was previously an artilleryman but voluntarily transferred to the infantry, says that drone attacks have become one of the most dangerous areas for Russian forces in this section of the front. While performing his duties, he was wounded and ended up in the hospital. According to him, despite the active actions of the Ukrainian troops, including through the use of drones, the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not achieve their goals.
According to him, the entry into the Kursk region is a political move by Zelensky. The Ukrainian leadership is trying to show the West its ability to attack Russia's border territories, using not only regular forces, but also the latest technology, such as kamikaze drones.
