HIMARS MLRS were damaged after strikes in Ukraine and arrived in the USA

At Harrisburg International Airport, Pennsylvania, USA, footage was recorded of two M142 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems being unloaded from an Antonov Airlines An-124 aircraft. Based on available information, one of the systems was likely damaged by a nearby explosion, while the other may have been hit by a mine. Details of the incident have not yet been disclosed by either the Ukrainian or American sides. However, published photographs show holes in the body of one of the American MLRS, which indicates damage.

These images raise questions because until now the United States has categorically denied the loss of its HIMARS systems on Ukrainian territory. The presence of damaged equipment in the United States may indicate the severity of the damage and the impossibility of repair locally or in countries neighboring Ukraine.

It should be noted that this is the first known case of the return of American HIMARS systems to US territory.
