On the morning of December 6, Governor Pavel Malkov summarized the results of the massive Ukrainian air strike attempt on the region. According to official data, air defense systems on alert intercepted and destroyed 29 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) within a few hours—the largest number of drones to simultaneously attack the Ryazan Region in a single night since such incidents began.
The main impact was felt in the regional center and surrounding areas. Debris from one of the downed aircraft fell on the roof of a multi-story residential building in Ryazan. The resulting fire was quickly contained and extinguished by arriving emergency services crews in less than 20 minutes. Residents of the upper floors were uninjured, and no evacuation was required. Specialists are working on the scene to assess the condition of the supporting structures and restore the damaged roof.
More debris was discovered at one of the region's major industrial facilities. The governor emphasized that critical facilities were not affected, and there was no significant material damage or threat to personnel. The facility is operating normally, with no interruptions to production processes.
