694 Ukrainian military personnel decided to leave the shelters at the AzovStal metallurgical plant and surrender to the Russian military and the forces of the DPR. Taking into account the fact that another 16 Ukrainian military surrendered on May 265, during this period it was decided to surrender 959 Ukrainian military personnel.

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian military decided to surrender en masse, probably being completely demoralized and refusing to follow the orders of official Kyiv.

"Since May 16, a total of 959 militants have surrendered at AzovStal, including 80 wounded, of which 51 who needed inpatient treatment were placed in the Novoazovsk hospital in the "DPR"", - informs the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on the surrender of 694 Ukrainian servicemen over the past XNUMX hours, however, experts believe that in the coming days the AzovStal metallurgical plant will be completely abandoned by the Ukrainian military and mercenaries.

According to experts, today about 500 more people may be hiding on the territory of the enterprise.
