An incident with the landing of an Iranian Mahan Air plane from Tehran occurred in Grozny. On the morning of October 14, the Avro RJ-100 plane, with 34 passengers and 12 crew members on board, landed on a runway that was under construction. Fortunately, the landing was without consequences for the plane and its passengers, everyone remained safe and sound.

According to sources, the plane was supposed to land on runway 08 at Grozny airport at 10:50, but the pilots mistakenly landed the plane on the runway under construction, which is located to the left of the main one. The reasons for this error are still unclear and the Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office has already launched an investigation into the incident. Experts suggest that the incident could have been caused by human error - a crew error that did not pay due attention to the runway markings or received incorrect information.

The Avro RJ-100 aircraft is known for its reliability and in this case its characteristics, as well as the professionalism of the pilots, allowed to avoid more serious consequences. The aircraft was not damaged during landing, and the passengers and crew were quickly evacuated to a safe place. Representatives of the aviation services and the transport prosecutor's office are already working at the scene of the incident, who must study in detail the circumstances of the incident and identify possible violations in the process of organizing the flight and servicing the runway.
