Russian blogger and public figure Roman Alekhine terminated his contract with the Russian Defense Ministry and ended his short military career just 23 days after joining the Akhmat special forces unit. Alekhine announced his decision to go to the front on February 28, explaining it by his desire to support the army at a critical moment.
