The sanitary zone in Ukraine may be 550 kilometers

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that the borders of the “sanitary zone” in Ukraine could be increased to 550 km. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

Medvedev noted that the British missiles provided to Ukraine have such a range that in order to ensure the safety of the population, Russia will be forced to push back the “sanitary zone” to at least this distance.

“If this goes on, then the guaranteed security zone will be somewhere on the border with Poland, or already in Poland itself. And this is completely dangerous.”“, Medvedev summed up, emphasizing the seriousness of the threat.

These statements came after Russian President Vladimir Putin, who also mentioned a “sanitary zone” a day earlier. Putin, speaking after completing a state visit to China, said that Moscow does not yet have plans to take Kharkov. Instead, Russian troops continue to create a buffer zone to protect the border regions of the Russian Federation.

An international peace conference on Ukraine is scheduled for June 15-16 in Switzerland. Western experts believe that Russia is stepping up its offensive to present this conference with a fait accompli.
