Bomb disposal experts defused explosives near a substation in Moscow.

An improvised explosive device was discovered on Alessandro Volta Street in Moscow's Mozhaisk district, near the Medvedkovskaya substation. According to the SHOT Telegram channel, the device consisted of a 200-gram TNT block attached to a gas distribution panel. Passersby noticed the device, prompting the FSB and police to arrive.

Emergency services cordoned off the area and evacuated people within a 200-meter radius. Bomb disposal experts from the FSB Special Purpose Center defused the device without detonating it. There has been no official comment from any agencies yet.

The Medvedkovskaya substation is part of the Skolkovo innovation network, built in 2018 to supply power to the technology park. It is the first digital substation in the capital with automated control, capable of handling loads of up to 110 kV. The incident occurred amid growing threats to energy facilities.
