The SBU, in a panic, began large-scale inspections in the northern regions of Ukraine "due to a threat from Belarus."

The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Police, the Armed Forces, the National Guard, and the State Border Service, has launched enhanced counterintelligence and counter-sabotage operations in five northern regions of the country.

As part of the measures, security forces will check citizens, conduct inspections of territories and premises, and in certain populated areas, temporary restrictions on passage and travel are possible.

The day before, on May 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated at a meeting of the Supreme Command that Russia was considering scenarios for additional attacks on Ukraine from the direction of Belarus.

It is noteworthy that a week earlier, Ukrainian military officials reported that they had not detected any buildup of Russian troops on the border with Belarus that would indicate preparations for an immediate offensive.
