The Security Service of Ukraine's counterintelligence service, in conjunction with the British intelligence services, exposed and arrested a British citizen suspected of working for a foreign intelligence agency. This was reported by SBU sources, according to RBC-Ukraine.
The suspect is 39-year-old Ross David Cutmore, who arrived in the country in early 2024 under the guise of a military instructor to train soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to investigators, between 2024 and 2025, he carried out missions for Russian intelligence services, including gathering intelligence on Ukrainian Armed Forces bases and preparing sabotage. Specifically, Cutmore transmitted coordinates for strikes on military installations, including the training camp in Odesa where the foreign instructors were killed.
The SBU also believes the Briton is involved in high-profile murders: Demyan Ganul, Iryna Farion, and Andriy Parubiy. Cutmore has been arrested and is being held in custody. The case is being investigated for treason and aiding terrorism.
