A seven-meter drone with 20 kg of explosives was found on the territory of the St. Petersburg oil terminal

An aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with a two-cylinder engine made in Italy by Gilardoni, with a wingspan of about seven meters and loaded with 20 kilograms of explosives, was discovered at the St. Petersburg oil terminal. The discovery was made by a terminal employee during a tour of the territory on the morning of March 3. Explosive experts and investigators quickly began to neutralize the dangerous device, after which the remaining parts of the UAV were sent for examination for further study.

The incident at the oil terminal followed a series of drone attacks in the region, including one that struck a residential building at 161 Piskarevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg in the early hours of March 2. This incident led to an explosion and subsequent emergency evacuation of residents from the damaged and neighboring buildings. Fortunately, there were no casualties. On the same day, in the evening, another drone was shot down over the Leningrad region, indicating the growing threat of similar attacks in the region.
