There will be no concessions to terrorists in Idlib, Lavrov said

Speaking at a press conference about the events in Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the actions of terrorists in Idlib will not remain unanswered by Russia and the Syrian army. There will be no concessions in resolving the situation to terrorists.

Lavrov noted that "in accordance with the Sochi Memorandum, an agreement was reached on the need to dissociate the armed opposition from the terrorists" Dzhebhat al-Nusra "(banned in the Russian Federation - editor's note), which mimics into the umbrella structure" Hayat Tahrir Ash-Sham " (banned in the Russian Federation - Ed.)". The Minister stressed that the main role in this is assigned to the Turkish Republic, as provided for by the agreement concluded between Russia, Vladimir Putin and Turkey, Tayyip Erdogan.

According to Lavrov, in Moscow there is a certainty that "this must be done as soon as possible, because time is passing, these terrorists, moreover, they arrange constant provocations." The Foreign Minister recalled that with such attacks the militants fired volley fire systems and firing, using drones, not only the positions of the Syrian army, but settlements. There are attempts at raids on the Russian air base «Hamim».

Lavrov assured that such attacks, neither Russia nor the Syrian army will not leave without a crushing response. The minister stressed that "the Sochi memorandum does not provide any indulgences to terrorists."
