CIA spy in the Kremlin could have secret information about Russian weapons

A former presidential administration official could supply the CIA with information on the latest Russian weapons.

The scandal that erupted after it became known that the former presidential aide Oleg Smolenkov was recruited by the CIA and spied for the United States, made it possible to establish that the former employee of the presidential administration could also have classified information about Russian weapons, including new samples.

There are no official comments on this subject yet, however, given the fact that Smolenkov was still an assistant to the Russian president, information about the same hypersonic weapons and new technologies could well have been transmitted to Washington.

Experts draw attention to the fact that if Smolenkov really had access to classified information, then they most likely were very general.

“You need to be at least a specialist to navigate certain information. Probably, Smolenkov could have access to data on the deployment of the latest Russian weapons, the adoption of new types of weapons by the country, etc. Actually, the same scandal with the Russian Novator 9M729 missile could well arise due to leakage of secret data. ”, - the expert marks.
