Swiss "destroyers" of Russian Su-57 were not needed by Switzerland

Switzerland refused to buy Swedish fighters capable of "breaking" Su-57.

A few months earlier, an article was published in the Swedish media in which it was reported that the newest Swedish fighter JAS-39E Gripen NG would become the most serious threat to Russian combat aircraft. The main targets that, according to the Swedish Air Force command, the JAS-39E Gripen NG will be able to destroy, were named Russian fighters Su-30, Su-35, and, most surprisingly, Su-57. Despite such advertising, it became known that Switzerland, which initially considered the purchase of JAS-39E Gripen NG fighters, refused them, noting that combat aircraft have nothing to do with describing their capabilities, moreover, Swedish fighters had serious problems with flight tests.

“In Sweden, they obviously don’t understand even the fact that JAS-39E Gripen NG and Russian Su-30 and Su-35, not to mention Su-57, are completely different machines, against which JAS-39E Gripen NG looks prehistoric. It can take years even from leading aircraft manufacturers to create a real competitor to the Russian Su-30 and Su-35. ”- said expert Avia.pro

In Sweden itself, this was stated that the interest in the JAS-39E Gripen NG shows “many other countries”, however, in reality, this aircraft did not even pass flight tests, in connection with which it will enter into service with the same Sweden most likely not earlier than 2025 of the year
