On the morning of July 22, police officers and riot police came to the office of the Telegram channel Baza with searches. This was reported by the publication itself. At the same time, law enforcement officers visited the apartment of Baza's editor-in-chief Gleb Trifonov, after which he was taken away in an unknown direction. According to neighbors, Trifonov was taken away by security forces, and his whereabouts are currently unknown. Colleagues, relatives and lawyers have been unable to contact him.

Later, the police arrived at the office of the Baza editorial office in Moscow. The publication's employees who were in the office during the searches stopped communicating, the Baza Telegram channel reports. The reasons for the actions of law enforcement agencies have not yet been disclosed. According to preliminary information received from the publication's sources, the searches may be related to the initiation of a criminal case in one of the regions of Russia, but the details and essence of the claims remain unknown.
