For the first time, Syrian air defense systems opened fire on an Israeli F-35.

The news agency Avia.pro obtained information that Syrian air defense systems opened fire on at least one Israeli F-35 fighter during an attempt to strike the suburbs of Damascus. We are talking about the very S-200 air defense system, the fired rocket of which flew to the southern part of Israel.

Experts substantiate their arguments by the fact that, unlike other missiles fired at Israeli aircraft, the latter not only did not self-destruct, but also successfully pursued its goal, and given that the Nevatim airbase is located in the south of Israel, the latter, by the way, is located only 20-30 kilometers from the nuclear research center in Dimona, in the area of ​​which the S-200 air defense missile system fell, experts believe that the attack was carried out precisely on the Israeli F-35 fighter returning to the airbase.

Even taking into account the fact that the information provided by the Israeli military is partially classified, experts believe that this is the first time that Syria has attacked Israeli F-35s.

“According to the investigation, part of which is still confidential, the Syrians fired about 10 heavy anti-aircraft missiles S-200 air defense missile systems at Israeli aircraft. By the grace of God, no one was hurt. All missiles continued on their trajectory without causing damage. These missiles have a mechanism that makes the missile explode on its own if it misses the target, which is why most missiles exploded on their own, with the exception of one missile. ", - reports the Israeli news publication "NZIV" referring to sources in the Israeli defense department.

Taking into account the rather limited capabilities of the Syrian S-200 air defense systems, experts do not exclude that the Syrian army could use more powerful radars, for example, Russian ones.
