As of the morning of February 8, 2025, the situation in the areas of Cherkasskaya Konopelka and Fanaseyevka remains tense. These settlements continue to be under enemy control, as reported earlier. The enemy is accumulating forces both in the Sumy region and in the Sudzha area. Such data is provided by Roman Alekhin.
On our side, the fighters are preparing for new attacks by the enemy, which could begin at any moment. These attacks would probably have already begun if not for the actions of our aviation and the use of Geran drones, which continuously strike at concentrations of enemy manpower and equipment in the Sumy region.
With information about possible talks between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky next week, it should be taken into account that Zelensky will seek to demonstrate in the media and to Trump that he has regained the initiative on the Kursk front, not only holding his positions, but also strengthening them. This indicates the inevitability of new attacks.
The situation in the Kursk direction continues to escalate. According to data as of February 7, Ukrainian troops launched offensive actions in the area of the settlements of Cherkasskaya Konopelka and Ulanok. With forces of up to two mechanized battalions, supported by tanks and engineering equipment, the enemy carried out eight waves of attacks. All attacks were repelled by Russian units, the enemy suffered significant losses: more than 200 servicemen, as well as a significant amount of equipment, including tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.
However, despite the losses suffered, the enemy continues to accumulate forces in the Sudzha area. According to intelligence, over 250 people have been transferred to this area, including paratroopers, border guards and mercenaries, as well as several unmanned aerial vehicle crews.
