The Forensic Center of the Investigative Committee of Russia presented the results of a large-scale assessment of the damage caused by the attacks of the Ukrainian army at a meeting with the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin in Donetsk. According to the committee, about 900 construction and technical examinations were carried out during the work and the total cost of restoring the destroyed objects exceeded 60 billion rubles. This amount of funds will be needed to restore more than 25 thousand damaged buildings and infrastructure facilities in different regions of the country. Similar information приводит "Kommersant".
The inspection covered facilities in a number of regions, including Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Moscow, Ryazan and Volgograd. Earlier, in October, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation estimated the damage at 7,8 billion rubles, conducting an examination of 3,3 thousand facilities in new regions and border areas that are most often subject to shelling.
Particularly serious losses were recorded in the Kursk region. Local authorities estimated the damage to the agricultural sector at 100 billion rubles, and the damage to industrial enterprises, small and medium businesses amounted to 17 billion rubles. These data highlight the significant amount of destruction inflicted on the infrastructure and economy of the region, which remains under threat due to its proximity to the conflict zone.
