Military correspondent Alexander Sladkov announced the loss of two helicopters during ongoing clashes with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk region. According to him, the enemy is pursuing two main goals: to gain a foothold in villages closer to the regional center and turn the city of Sudzha into a second Volchansk, and also try to break through towards the Kurchatov Nuclear Power Plant.
“The enemy is pursuing two goals: to gain a foothold in villages closer to the regional center and turn the city of Sudzha into a second Volchansk; try to break through towards the Kurchatov Nuclear Power Plant. The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired rockets at Kurchatov at night. We shot everything down (TOR, “Shell”). We lost two helicopters: a Ka-52 and a fire support helicopter. The enemy effectively supports the actions of ground forces with air defense systems (MANPADS and air defense systems). The Belgorod region is being shelled. Direct hit on one of the substations", - wrote Sladkov.
The situation is quite difficult, since at night the enemy was able to pull additional reserves into the neighboring Sumy region.
