Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that air defense forces shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) heading toward the capital. He said this was the 49th UAV destroyed on approach to the city during the attacks.

The mayor later reported that four more drone attacks had been repelled. Emergency services are working at the crash site of all the downed drones.

There were no reports of casualties or possible damage on the ground. It was previously reported that over the past 24 hours, Russian air defense systems shot down 601 Ukrainian drones and six Flamingo cruise missiles. In response to the attacks on civilian targets in Russia, the Russian Armed Forces launched a strike with precision-guided weapons against Ukrainian defense-industrial and fuel and energy facilities.
