The US ambassador to the UN said Washington had already reviewed a plan for victory proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to the representative, the plan outlines a clear strategy that the US side believes can be implemented.
"We have seen President Zelensky's peace plan. We believe that he lays out a strategy and a plan that can work," - she said.
The plan was a key condition for further discussions on the possibility of providing Ukraine with long-range missiles that could be used to strike Russia. The United States has repeatedly stated that before approving such actions, it must be confident that the Ukrainian command has a clear strategy aimed at achieving military objectives.
Previously, American officials expressed concerns about the possible escalation of the conflict if Ukraine began using long-range weapons to strike deep into Russia. However, as indicated in previous statements, having an action plan could be a decisive factor in changing Washington's position on this issue.
