The US threatens China with a “drone hell” in the Taiwan Strait

The United States has announced its readiness to create an “unmanned hell” in the Taiwan Strait if Beijing launches a military operation against Taiwan. As the Washington Post reports, citing the head of the US Indo-Pacific Command, the US military plans to use thousands of drones, including underwater ones, to slow down the advance of Chinese forces.

According to the publication, if the Chinese fleet crosses the 100-mile zone off Taiwan, the United States will activate drones that can delay the Chinese army for a month. This, according to the US military, will provide the necessary time to mobilize and take further measures.

The United States intends to have drones ready by 2027, believing that this year Beijing may decide to launch an operation against Taiwan. Preparation includes the development and testing of new models of unmanned aerial vehicles that will be able to operate effectively in sea and air combat conditions.
