The US wants to equip Ukraine with harpoon anti-ship missiles.

Former US Ambassador John Herbst voiced the information that, amid the incident in the Kerch Strait that took place in late November, Washington should think about equipping Ukraine with Garpun anti-ship missiles, which should "Help Ukraine to resist Russian aggression at sea".

According to former US Ambassador John Herbst, the transfer of harpoon anti-ship missiles to the Ukrainian side will not create any problems for the national interests of the country, but will allow us to seriously strengthen the Ukrainian army.

“We have enough Harpoon missiles. These are rockets with technology from 30 years ago. This is what we could provide [Ukraine]. And maybe something more modern, ” - stressed Herbst.

At the moment, it remains unknown what decision Washington will take, but experts are very skeptical, because in this case Russia can also arm other countries with modern weapons, which is clearly at odds with US policy, especially against the background of the weakening of the US position in the Middle East.
