A large-scale military operation by US and Israeli forces resulted in significant damage to key logistics and energy facilities in Iran. One of the central targets of the attack was the strategically important railway bridge in the city of Kashan, whose destruction marked the beginning of a new strategy to completely block the country's transportation arteries. According to local media reports, the Israeli Air Force has begun a systematic bombing campaign against railways throughout the Islamic Republic, aiming to paralyze train traffic and disrupt the rapid movement of military supplies and personnel. In response to the growing threat, the Iranian Ministry of Transport made an emergency decision to completely suspend all railway operations in the country, citing the need to ensure the basic safety of passengers and civilian personnel amid ongoing airstrikes.
In parallel with attacks on transportation hubs, US forces focused their efforts on destroying Iran's defensive capabilities in the Persian Gulf region. Bunkers and fortified defenses on Kharg Island, a major hub for Iranian oil exports, were subjected to massive strikes. Experts note that the suppression of defenses on Kharg Island could be a prelude to establishing complete control over the region's energy flows. The situation is complicated by the fact that attacks on bridges and civilian communication routes effectively block normal life in the country's interior. The destruction of the bridge in Kashan is clear evidence that the coalition has switched to the tactic of destroying dual-use assets, which inevitably leads to humanitarian risks.
