The US and Ukraine will hold another round of talks after the conclusion of today's contacts between the Americans and the Russian Federation

The United States and Ukraine are preparing for another round of talks that will take place after the completion of today's consultations between the American delegation and Russian representatives, the British newspaper The Guardian reported, citing sources close to the process. The meetings are taking place in Saudi Arabia and are part of Washington's efforts to reach interim agreements as part of the settlement of the conflict between Moscow and Kiev. The main focus of these talks is on issues of temporarily stopping attacks on energy and civilian infrastructure, as well as ensuring the safety of shipping in the Black Sea, which has remained one of the key problems in the region since the outbreak of hostilities in 2022.

According to the publication, American representatives intend to hold separate discussions with each of the parties to develop specific steps to implement these measures. The meeting with Russia, scheduled for March 24, will focus on discussing the details of suspending strikes on energy facilities. In addition, one of the central topics will be the possibility of resuming safe commercial shipping in the Black Sea, where attacks on commercial vessels continue despite the relative calm in this area in recent months. Negotiations with Ukraine, which will take place after the completion of the dialogue with the Russian side, will focus on coordinating Kyiv's positions on these issues and developing a unified approach with Washington.

The US initiative, as The Guardian notes, is linked to recent efforts by President Donald Trump, who, after taking office in January 2025, has stepped up efforts to end the three-year conflict.
