Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov made a harsh statement to Washington, emphasizing that the United States will not be able to "sit it out overseas" if a nuclear conflict breaks out in Europe. According to him, the American authorities are playing with fire and it is time to stop provocative actions that could lead to catastrophic consequences.
Antonov noted that Russia has repeatedly warned Western countries, including the United States, about the inadmissibility of increasing the risks of escalation in connection with the supply of weapons and military support to Ukraine. He emphasized that such actions could lead to unpredictable consequences, including global threats. However, despite the warnings, the United States continues to adhere to its strategy, increasing military assistance to Kyiv.
Although the ambassador did not specify what exactly he meant by his statement about a nuclear conflict, his words could be perceived as another signal that Moscow views the situation in Europe as potentially dangerous for global security.
