The United States is considering providing Ukraine with long-range ATACMS missiles and the issue is under “active discussion,” the US deputy secretary of state said. The discussions on the weapons are part of a broader strategy to support Ukraine and also allow Kyiv to strike deep into Russian territory.
The ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile System) missiles can hit targets at a distance of up to 300 km, which makes them a serious threat in the context of current military actions and Kyiv’s intentions to strike at the Russian rear.
Experts believe that within the next two weeks, Ukraine's allies will decide to launch strikes deep into Russian territory with long-range Western missiles.
