US announced arming Zumwalt destroyers with hypersonic missiles, which do not yet exist

The United States announced the adoption by the Navy of hypersonic missiles, which do not yet exist.

Despite the fact that the United States has not yet conducted a single successful test using hypersonic weapons, it became known that the US Navy command announced the adoption of such missiles. According to the data announced by the Pentagon, in 2022, it is planned to start arming the Zumwalt destroyers with hypersonic missiles, however, at the moment, there are no such missiles in the US armament, and moreover, they are still at an early stage of development.

As follows from the information provided by the American military command, it is planned to arm three Zumwalt destroyers with hypersonic missiles, while each warship will carry 12 hypersonic missiles.

Experts note that the Pentagon is either trying to create the appearance that the United States has already mastered hypersonic technologies, or the United States defense department is trying to hide the time of the real weapons of its warships with hypersonic missiles.

What exactly is the reason for the armament of the Zumwalt ships with hypersonic missiles is unknown, however, today independent experts believe that this is one of the most unsuccessful American warships.
